Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has begun a three-day official visit to the United Arab Emirates as part of the state’s international investment outreach programme. The visit, covering Abu Dhabi and Dubai, aims to strengthen economic ties with the UAE and attract investments into Odisha.
In Abu Dhabi, Majhi is scheduled to participate in a roundtable with International Holding Company (IHC), meet the UAE Minister of Investment and representatives of sovereign investment funds, and oversee the signing of Memoranda of Cooperation. In Dubai, he will hold one-to-one meetings with industry leaders and prospective investors and participate in the Odisha Investors’ Meet on September 11.
The state government is presenting Odisha’s industrial infrastructure, investor-focused policies, export potential and emerging sectors to UAE-based businesses and global investors. Areas being highlighted include metals and downstream industries, chemicals and petrochemicals, port-led logistics, food and seafood exports, shipbuilding and other value-added industries.
The outreach is part of Odisha’s broader effort to build international partnerships and translate investor interest into industrial projects, trade opportunities and employment within the state. The Chief Minister is also scheduled to interact with the Odia diaspora in Dubai during the visit.
