Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government has appointed Sudhansu Mohan Samal, a 2010-batch IAS officer, as Chairman-cum-Managing Director (CMD) of Odisha Mining Corporation (OMC), bringing the corporation’s chairmanship and executive management responsibilities under his leadership.
The appointment was announced on September 7, 2026, as part of a minor administrative reshuffle. Samal was already serving as OMC’s Managing Director.
According to reporting on the General Administration and Public Grievance Department’s notification, he will continue to hold additional charge as Revenue Divisional Commissioner, Central Division, Cuttack.
