Around 20 Lakh Set to Receive First Tranche Of Subhadra Yojana Funds In 3rd Phase

On November 24, the Subhadra Yojana’s third phase recipients will receive the first payment from the Odisha government. Pravati Parida, the deputy chief minister, declared that plans are in place to provide money to 20 lakh recipients during this phase. At Lok Seva Bhavan, Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja presided over a review meeting to talk about getting ready for the next payout. Anu Garg, Development Commissioner and Additional Chief Secretary, and Shubha Sharma, Principal Secretary of the Women and Child Development Department, were among the high-ranking officials in attendance. Block Development Officers (BDOs), Sub Collectors, Additional District Magistrates, and District Collectors from every district participated in the virtual meeting.

Officials were directed to resolve the problems of beneficiaries whose payments were postponed because of bank and Aadhaar linkage concerns at the meeting. The National Payments Corporation of India (NCPI) will look into any mistakes found throughout the digital payment procedure.

In order to guarantee an open verification procedure, the review also created a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). Before sending verified lists to district Collectors for final approval and submission to the department, applications will be screened by BDO-led block-level verification committees, Executive Officer-chaired committees in municipal areas, and Municipal Commissioner-chaired committees in municipal corporations.

Subhadra Help Desks are available in every district to assist recipients even more, and field-level verification teams will verify applications on-site to guarantee correct payout. In order to guarantee that all qualified recipients receive their benefits, Chief Secretary Ahuja emphasized the significance of openness and fairness in the verification procedure. Nearly 60 lakh beneficiaries got the first installment of Rs 5,000 apiece in the first two phases of the Subhadra Yojana, which has received over one crore applications since its start.
