She has exceptional calibre in writing and bestows her knowledge through her writeups in several topics. The International Conclave of Artists has held seminars in Malaysia , Tokyo and other countries. Here we have got the golden opportunity to talk to some Talented Authors in India. Without further delay ,let’s start the interview.
Q1) Hello Ashreeta . Please let us know is there any favourite genre of your writing , or you love writing in several topics. Also since when did you know about your interest in writing?
Ans: Since my school days I have identified my love for writing. I used to write for my school yearly magazine, my father’s office magazine. I can clearly remember sometimes I used to also send small blogs for my principal’s trimester magazine.
My favourite genre is mostly socio-economic/ socio-political/ environmental.
Q2) As a member of the International Conclave we have always seen that India has been a very diverse country with multiple languages. As a writer do you feel that regional languages help to connect to people?
Ans: Yes, definitely. Diversity is a strength be it culture or language. We must promote regional writers and give them more scope to explore.
Q3) What are your thoughts on Sustainable Development ? Since we are advocating sustainable development . Let us know about the steps each of us can take to promote sustainable development?
Ans: Sustainability is a vast subject. Through people and technology working together, we can achieve sustainable outcomes.With environment concerns on the rise, we must look for ways to live sustainably. By reducing consumption (be it water or electricity), minimising food waste, recycling and reusing, eating sustainable food, investing in eco-friendly products and renewable energy, and most importantly by educating others about encouraging sustainable lifestyle practice, we can progress sustainably.
Q4)As an author, what would be your advice to the upcoming authors for improvement in their writing skills? What role do you think an author can play towards the nation?
Ans: My advice to upcoming writers would be simple and straight: when we write, we give people access to their own emotions. So,
“Pay attention to detail. Be astonished and Tell about it to the world.”
Authors can bring social reforms through their impactful writing. Authors can influence the way one thinks, feels or act.
Q5)Finally please share a quote or poem for the readers on any topic for the International Conclave of Artist.
Ans: John F. Kennedy has perhaps summed it up aptly for me in this quote about Art: “If art is to nourish the roots of our culture, society must set the artist free to follow his vision wherever it takes him.”I just want to conclude by saying the essence of all beautiful arts and artists is their gratitude.
