Awareness Rally Held in Dhenkanal on the Occasion of “Zero Fatality Fortnight”

Dhenkanal : The state’s Commerce and Transport Department is observing Zero Fatality Week from November 16 to 30 as part of its road-safety initiative. On this occasion, a road-safety awareness rally was organised by the Regional Transport Office, Dhenkanal on Saturday morning.

The Hon’ble Minister of Food Supplies & Consumer Welfare and Science & Technology, Shri Krushna Chandra Patra, attended the programme as the Chief Guest and flagged off the rally.

Among those present at the event were Shri Deepti Ranjan Sethi, Chief Development Officer of Zilla Parishad; Shri Sibasis Sahu, Regional Transport Officer; Shri Siddhartha Dutta, Additional Regional Transport Officer; Smt Sunita Panda, Junior Motor Vehicle Inspector; Shri Biranchi Narayan Pani, President of the Blood Donors’ Motivators Association; and Shri Rudra Narayan Tripathy and Shri Pradyumna Rath, members of the Road Safety Committee.

Students from various schools and colleges also participated in the rally, which started from the local Mini Stadium and moved through the town carrying messages on road safety.
