Rahul’s bail appeal was denied in the most recent development in the case of the bogus medication seizure in Cuttack, Odisha. Rahul’s bail application was denied by the Special Vigilance Court and Additional Sessions Judge. During the hearing for the bail petition, public prosecutor Nandanandana Mohapatra appeared on behalf of the State.
It should be mentioned that charges for the sale of bogus medications had been filed at the Purighat Police station in Cuttack in the names of Barsharani Kyal and her son Rahul Kyal, the proprietors of VR Drug, as well as Sanjay Jalan, the owner of Puja Enterprises, and his wife Chanchal Jalan. Rahul and Sanjay were later detained and sent to court. The Cuttack District Chemist and Druggist Association took harsh action against the two bogus drug providers by revoking their membership and licence, it should be emphasised.
The Drug Control team conducted searches at several locations in Cuttack in September and discovered the phoney distribution of medications. Preliminary research indicates that Bengaluru and Gaya in Bihar were the sources of Cuttack’s phoney medications.
Two Drug Control teams have been organised to travel to the locations where the bogus medications were being delivered in order to further investigate the situation, according to sources.
