The BJP accused the TMC government in West Bengal of trying to sabotage the party’s celebrations associated with the Ram Temple event in Ayodhya. Suvendu Adhikari, the leader of the opposition, asserted that the police had refused to allow Ram Puja in several regions of the state.
“Why is conducting Shree Ram Puja such a hassle in this state only? In no other state have devotees faced such a situation. Why are the police denying permission to the organisers on flimsy grounds? They are being harassed as if they are committing a crime by organising Ram Puja,” Adhikari said.Adhikari stated that Mamata Banerjee’s All-Faith demonstration, which was set for January 22, was granted permission by the police without delay.Banerjee’s rally to encourage intercommunal unity in the state was granted approval by the Calcutta High Court on Monday.Banerjee had declined the offer to attend the January 22 temple ceremony in Ayodhya. He is now fabricating claims that the programmes cannot be held because authorization has not been given. It is illegal to do this. He stated, “We would like the police to move against Adhikari and other BJP leaders.
