With a population of 1.36 Crore, serving 30.75 Lakh customers across a sprawling 29,354 Sq. Km distribution area, TPCODL’s mission is clear – reliable power supply, elevated customer services, and a targeted reduction of the existing 30.49% AT&C losses. Leveraging Tata Power’s success in Delhi, where losses plummeted from 53% in 2002 to 7.9% in March 2019, TPCODL aims not only at loss reduction but at crafting a customer-centric experience marked by state-of-the-art Call Centers and consumer care initiatives. TPCODL is determined not only to reduce losses but also to provide reliable power supply, elevated customer service, and a customer-centric experience. To achieve this, TPCODL is leveraging Tata Power’s success in reducing the losses in Delhi from 53% in 2002 to 7.9% in March 2019.
At the helm of this transformative journey is Mr. Arvind Singh, TPCODL’s CEO, a stalwart in the power sector with a remarkable 39-year career. Armed with a B.Tech degree from IIT Madras and a rich background spanning diverse roles at Tata Power, Mr. Singh epitomizes effective leadership. His current role follows significant tenures as CEO of TP Southern Odisha Distribution Limited and Chief of transmission at The TATA Power Company Limited. His extensive experience in the power sector, combined with his ability to manage complex projects, has been instrumental in driving TPCODL’s transformation. His strategic thinking and problem-solving skills have enabled the company to achieve its objective of providing reliable and affordable power to its customers.
Beyond the boardroom, TPCODL is making waves in Odisha’s social fabric. Recognizing the potential of Women Self Help Groups (WSHGs), the company engages over 500 groups, providing livelihood opportunities to more than 800 women. Initiatives like the Vocational Training Centre, offering courses in computer training and stitching & tailoring, underscore TPCODL’s commitment to rural employability and skill development.
