A bomb went off inside the crowded Patna civil court today, wounding police officers who had brought real explosives with them to use as evidence in a case. The police brought some homemade explosives from a hostel and presented them before the judge as evidence against the defendants. One of the devices, however, detonated shortly after being placed on a table in the court, according to news source IANS.The explosion had such a devastating impact that some of the court’s officials and attorneys briefly lost their hearing, in addition to injuring a sub-inspector and two additional police officers.
