Bomb Threats Hit Delhi Schools; Students Evacuated, DPS Dwarka Exams Postponed

Multiple schools in the national capital received bomb threats on Saturday morning, prompting mass evacuations and intensive security checks.

Among the institutions targeted were Delhi Public School (DPS) Dwarka, Krishna Model Public School, and Sarvodaya Vidyalaya. Police teams and bomb disposal squads rushed to the schools and launched searches, which are still underway.

At DPS Dwarka, the management announced the closure of the school for the day, citing “unavoidable circumstances,” and postponed the mid-term examinations scheduled for Saturday. In a circular to parents, the school instructed them to pick up their wards from bus stops or the school premises, adding that fresh exam dates would be communicated soon.

The incident follows a recent spate of hoax threats directed at educational institutions in Delhi. Earlier this month, on September 9, the University College of Medical Sciences (UCMS) received a similar bomb threat via email, leading to an evacuation before authorities confirmed the premises were safe.
