Surya Kumar Pattanayak is a multifaceted personality and a visionary leader who currently serves as the Director of the Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) Bhubaneswar. He is a true champion of the IT industry and has dedicated his career to promoting technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
With over 30 years of experience in the IT sector, Pattanayak is widely recognized as a thought leader in the industry. He is a firm believer in the power of technology to transform societies and has played a pivotal role in the growth and development of the IT industry in Odisha.
Prior to joining STPI Bhubaneswar, Pattanayak held several key positions in the IT sector. He worked as the Director of STPI Bhubaneswar from 2011 to 2016, where he was instrumental in establishing the STPI incubation center in the city.
Pattanayak is known for his strong leadership skills and his ability to bring together people from diverse backgrounds to achieve common goals. He is deeply committed to promoting entrepreneurship and has played a crucial role in mentoring and supporting startups in the IT sector.

Pattanayak heads the CoE whose main objectives are to promote entrepreneurship and Innovation in Industry 4.0 and to help domestic start-ups go global and to create a high potential ecosystem for carrying out Industry 4.0 & Analytics, Cyber Security & AI implementations for the industrial sector as well as to create industry-ready manpower on Industry 4.0. It offers Ready to work Plug-n-Play incubation space along with high-speed internet access and other equipment. Also, it provides Networking opportunities/Industry connections and Go-to-market support for exhibiting/showcasing products/solutions through various National/International events/workshops/exhibitions. The objectives of the CoE are to to Develop a world-class “Industry 4.0 lab” in Odisha and be the preferred start-up destination of the country as well as promote entrepreneurship and Innovation in emerging technology and to help domestic start-ups go global.
To create a high potential ecosystem and platform for taking up Industry 4.0 implementation through the judicious deployment of Analytics, IOT, Cyber Security, AI & ML and other emerging technologies for the industrial sector.
