Priya Bharti On Friday in the early morning a man hacked his elder cousin brother to death at Brundabanpur village under Jajpur police limits of the district.
The deceased recognized as Prakash Chandra Das was outside his house today when his younger cousin Deb Mallick arrived at the spot and had an argument with the former over the issue of street light connection in the village.
Mallick attacked his cousin Das on the neck with a sharp weapon. Suddenly, villagers came to the rescue and caught hold of Mallick.
Das was taken to the district headquarters hospital where he was declared dead.
On the other hand, villagers handed over Mallick to the police.
