Odisha Government approved 17 proposals including a drinking water project during the cabinet meeting which was held in virtual mode under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
According to the reports, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Niranjan Pujari said “Drinking water project proposed by the cabinet would meet needs of 15 panchayats in Rayagada, 31 panchayats of Koraput. Besides, seven panchayats under Ramnaguda block in Rayagada and eight panchayats of Kolanara block will have access to drinking water under the project.”
The report further added that 25 per cent of fixed capital investment will be provided as capital subsidy limited to Rs 20 crore.Besides, 15 per cent of the cost of developing solar power plant subject to maximum of Rs 25 lakhs will be reimbursed. Greenfield IT Parks would be made eligible for complete reimbursement of stamp duty or registration fee or conversion fee.
Moreover, 30 per cent of fixed capital investment in building and infrastructure, excluding the cost of land will be accorded to eligible IT units. Eligible IT units will be entitled to get an interest subsidy at 5 per cent year on term loans availed from recognised financial institutions and banks, subject to a maximum of Rs 10 crore per year for 5 years from the date of commencement of commercial operation. Besides, entrepreneurs will avail exemption of electricity duty and electrical inspection fee for 5 years. There will be reimbursement of electricity tariff at 30 per cent for three years capped at Rs 35 lakh per unit.
