Thursday’s event at the Cuttack District Collector’s office saw the adoption of a 9-month-old baby girl by an Indian couple from Karnataka who are now living in Germany.
Thangavel Sarvana and Subhashini Munishyami, two good samaritans, revealed to the public that they had been married for 16 years but had never given birth. So they made the decision to adopt and started the adoption process seven years ago. Following a protracted wait, the government approved the couple’s request and sent them an adoption paperwork from the charity Servants of India Society.
A 9-month-old female kid was given to the couple by the society for adoption. At a special event held in his office today, Cuttack District Collector Bhavani Shankar Chayani handed the infant over to Thangavel Sarvana and Subhashini Munishyami in line with the law of the land. The adoptive parents were obviously ecstatic to get the daughter kid. Phamagi Parida, the district social welfare officer, and members of the Servants of India Society attended the event.
