Chinese mobile company VIVO is back to IPL 2021

In eastern Ladakh, due to tensions between India and China, mobile manufacturer Vivo withdrew its title sponsor from the Indian Premier League (IPL) last year. This is because of the clashes between Indian and Chinese troops in the Galwan Valley, the Chinese boycott campaign intensified in the country. The outrage against China was growing. In view of this situation, Vivo withdrew from the title sponsor. However, Vivo has returned to the IPL a year after the situation improved. The Chinese mobile company Vivo has once again sponsored the world’s largest T20 League IPL.

Vivo, which has been ruled out of the 2020 IPL, is set to become the sponsor of the 2021 IPL. The decision was announced by Brijesh Patel, chairman of the IPL Governing Council, during a mini-auction of players in Chennai for the 14th edition of the IPL. Dream dropped the title after being dropped from the Vivo tournament in 2020.

In his welcome address to the IPL Auction, Bridget Patel said, “Vivo has made a comeback in the IPL. The current version will be Vivo IPL 2021, he said. Not only that, the spectators will return to the field in the 2021 IPL, Brijesh Patel said. Spectators no longer have to wait. In the current IPL, of course, the noise of the spectators in the stadium is noteworthy, the IPL was played in the UAE last year due to the Covid 19 pandemic. The tournament was played without spectators.
