Indian star opener Rohit Sharma has reached the top of his career in the ICC Test batsman rankings. Rohit has moved up six places to the best of his career. Rohit, popularly known as “Hit Man” in world cricket, has reached eighth in the top 10.
Rohit has done well against the spinner in the first 3 matches of the ongoing Test series against England. He is followed by Indian captain Virat Kohli and Pujara in the top 10. Kohli is fifth on the list, while Cheteshwar Pujara is down two places to tenth.
Rohit has made his debut as an opener in Test cricket in 2019. Rohit was unable to play a big innings during the tour of Australia. However, Rohit scored 66 and an unbeaten 25 in the first innings of the third match at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad against England. Rohit scored 742 points while in October 2019 it was 722. He was in tenth place at the time.
Spinners Akshar Patel and Ravi Chandran Ashwin, who took a total of 11 wickets in the third match, have also risen to the top. The letter ranks 38th, while Ashwin ranks fourth to third. England spinner Jack Lynch has also reached the top 30. He has moved up three places to 28th.
