Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik inaugurated a new academic block, library, and hostel building at Rama Devi Women’s University and announced a ₹18 Cr which has been allocated for renovation of existing infrastructure like academic building, hostel building & open-air stage.
This new academic block at Rama Devi University will help the students to carry a new vision for education and women empowerment in Odisha.
While addressing the students on the premises of RD University CM Patnaik stated that students are the future of society and harbinger of change. A student has a responsibility of themselves, for parents and for the motherland. He asked the students to strive to excel in their studies and concentrate on making their own careers for their better future.
While remembering the noted freedom fighter Ramadevi Choudhury, CM stated that the institute carries the vision of Maa Ramadevi for education & empowerment of women in Odisha. He also urged the students to redefine the prestige of the institute to make it one of the best in the country.
Naveen Patnaik inaugurated a new academic block, library building, and hostel during the visit to the varsity which was his first interaction with students after Corona. He also announced that the infrastructure worth Rs 18 crore including the open-air stage, old academic block, and hostel will get a facelift.
While calling students as future of society & the forerunner of change, CM Patnaik stated that women today are leading in every sphere with their sheer confidence and by trusting their own talent. He called them to realize their dreams and transform society by trusting their own talent.
Higher Education Minister Arun Sahu, MLA AN Jena, Ramadevi Univerity vice-chancellor Aparajita Chowdhury and Registrar Shyamali Mohapatra were also present during the inauguration ceremony.
