Today in this city, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik opened the exhibit “Sustain: The Craft Idiom” at Kala Bhoomi, the Odisha Crafts Museum. It is a particularly curated cultural initiative by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, for the second G20 CWG conference, which will take place in Bhubaneswar from May 14 to 17, 2023. The exhibition’s topic is based on the Culture Working Group’s (CWG) second objective, “Harnessing Living Heritage for a Sustainable Future.” From May 15–22, 2023, the show will be on display at Kala Bhoomi, the Odisha Crafts Museum.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik of this city today inaugurated the “Sustain: The Craft Idiom” exhibition at Kala Bhoomi, the Odisha Crafts Museum. The second G20 CWG conference will be held in Bhubaneswar from May 14 to 17, 2023. It is a specially curated cultural effort by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India. The exhibition’s theme is derived from the second aim of the Culture Working Group (CWG), “Harnessing Living Heritage for a Sustainable Future.” The exhibition will be on view at Kala Bhoomi, the Odisha Crafts Museum, from May 15–22, 2023.

The goal of the exhibition is to increase public knowledge of the many living heritage practices that place a priority on the wise and efficient use of natural resources as well as the peaceful coexistence of humans and other living things. The three experiences that make up “Sustain: The Craft Idiom” — Akshara, Stambh, and demonstrations by master craftspeople and teachers — encompass these many facets. The exhibition features over 35 crafts together with numerous Indian languages and scripts through artifacts and in-person teaching sessions.
