Today, in Jayadev Vihar in Bhubaneswar, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik laid the groundwork for the corporate office of the Odisha Mining Corporation (OMC). This platinum-rated green building will take up six acres of space and become a new city landmark. The building’s attractive design will enhance the beauty of the city’s surrounding environment. The Drill Core Library’s foundation was laid by the CM in addition to the new office building.
Five Odisha Mining Adarsh Vidyalayas were also established by the Chief Minister. He opened the OMC Chrome Ore Beneficiation Plant, 10 Sample Processing Units, and 7 Quality Control Labs. He indicated six mobile health units as well. Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Patnaik praised the OMC for setting an example in sustainable mining, promoting happiness among the populace through its numerous people-centered development and welfare initiatives, and contributing to the economy. He claimed that OMC has always made an effort to benefit society, whether it be through sports, health, education, or peripheral development.
He congratulated OMC on the impending arrival of its corporate office in the city at its new address. The Chief Minister expressed his happiness with OMC’s welfare initiatives in mining areas, mentioning that OMC had established five fully residential schools for the students in the mining periphery that are affiliated with the CBSE. He continued, saying that the Mobile Health Unit is a great idea and will be crucial in helping the locals in the villages surrounding OMC’s operating areas by bringing medical services right to their doorstep.
He continued, “Quality control laboratories at various operational areas and the Chrome Ore Beneficiation Plant at South Kaliapani will play an important role in adopting more transparency and quick dispatch of quality raw materials to the user industries.”
