Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik congratulated the three Odia girl who has successfully made to the 24-member Indian Junior Women’s Hockey squad for the 6-match tour to Chile.
In his official Twitter handle CM Patnaik stated – “Congratulate #Odisha’s Mariana Kujur, Ajmina Kujur and Jiwan Kishori Toppo on making it to the Indian Junior Women’s Hockey squad for the 6-match tour to Chile. Best wishes to the team.”
In the Indian Junior Women’s Hockey Team, Midfielders Mariana and Ajmina and forward player Jiwan are a part of it and this will be back on the field after more than a year when they tour Chile for six matched in January.
From 17th January 2021 to 18th January 2021 the team will take on the Junior Chile Team. Consequently, the Indian Junior Team will be up on the Senior Chile Team on 20 January 2021, 21 January 2021, 23 January 2021 and 24 January 2021. Hockey India named the 24-member Indian Junior Women’s Hockey squad for the tour.
Defender Suman Devi Thoudam will be the captain of the Indian Junior Women’s Team and Defender Ishika Chaudhary will be serving as the Vice-Captain, consists of Goalkeepers Khushboo and Rashanpreet Kaur, Defenders Mahima Choudhary, Priyanka, Gagandeep Kaur, Sushma Kumari and Akshata Dhekale, Midfielders Baljeet Kaur, Chetna, Mariana Kujur, Ajmina Kujur, Reet, Prabhleen Kaur, Vaishnavi Phalke and Preeti, and Forwards Jiwan Kishori Toppo, Mumtaz Khan, Rutuja Pisal, Sangita Kumari, Beauty Dungdung, Lalrindiki and Deepika.
