CM Naveen Patnaik To Lay Foundation For Puri Srimandir Heritage Corridor

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to soon launch must awaited heritage corridor ‘Parikrama Marg’ project of Puri Shree Jagannath Temple as informed by the sources.

According to the reports, the Ankur Ropana niti is scheduled to be conducted on November 21 to make way for a Yagnya which will be conducted in front of the Northern gate near the ‘Aishanya Kona’ of the temple. The ‘Purna Ahuti’ of the Yagnya will be done on November 24.

The report further added that CM Patnaik will likely lay the foundation stone of the heritage corridor between November 21 and 24.

On November 15, a high-level meeting was conducted by the administration of Shree Jagannath Temple where they discussed the detailed preparations for the historic programme at the 12th-century historic shrine.

The chief of Srimandir Temple Administration Krishan Kumar informed that the preparations for initiating the developmental corridor project are in the final stages. He stated that Odisha Cabinet had approved the Puri Srimandir heritage corridor resolution and the works will soon begin. As per Vedic rituals, a Yagnya will be conducted to mark the commencement of the project. Moreover, some other events are also scheduled to be held during the period. The final programme will be conducted on November 24. A meeting was held today to prepare the blueprint of the entire programme.
