Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik Announces Rs 120 Cr Bonus, Other Assistance For Kendu Leaf Pluckers

On Thursday, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik approved the district administration’s plan for the development of Guru Gamke Pandit Raghunath Murmu’s burial site. The development of Pandit Raghunath Murmu’s Samadhi Peetha in Dandabos-Kapiburu would thus cost Rs 75 lakh. At a cost of Rs 75 lakh, a meditation center will also be built there.

In addition, it is planned to spend Rs 3 crore on building walls and linking roads in Kapiburu, and Rs 2 crore on a research center and amphitheater. Building a hostel and other amenities for the comfort of visitors will cost an additional Rs 1 crore.

At Kapiburu, Rs 70 lakh will be spent on beautification and the construction of a reception center, and Rs 1 crore will be used to build out the Dandabos, the Bidu Chandan outdoor space, and the Marang-Ahara pool. In addition, it has been planned to spend Rs 80 lakh on electrification and drinking water initiatives.

The department will fulfill all of these tasks in five stages. The government is under orders from the chief minister to finish the project as soon as possible.
