Congress to build 100 Ram Temples in Telangana

A Revanth Reddy, the president of the Telangana Congress, declared that if the Congress wins the upcoming assembly elections, which are scheduled for later this year, the Congress government would spend $1 billion building 100 Rama temples throughout the state’s several assembly districts. He claimed that the state’s 100 Sri Ram temples would encourage young people to follow God Sri Ram’s example of morality.

This comes after Kondagattu Hanuman temple’s renovation was taken up by chief minister (CM) KCR. Elections in Telangana, which has 119 Assembly districts, will take place later this year. Revanth’s support for Lord Ram has been criticised by the state BJP as an election-season ploy that “plays with the sensibilities of Hindus.” Moreover, Revanth charged that K Chandrasekhar Rao had broken his promise to spend $100 million building the Bhadrachalam Sri Rama Temple. Ram temple funded by $100 million. This is the territory that Lord Rama travelled. Bhadrachalam, which has such a rich history, is becoming less distinctive as a result of BRS neglect. Talambralu was traditionally offered to Lord Rama from the Nizams to the current rulers, however KCR disapproved of the long-standing custom. With Rs 100 crore, he also failed to build the Ram temple, according to Revanth.
