Tamanna Khan is currently studying in high school. Two of her poems were published on the newspaper “Greater Kashmir”. Tamanna is a person who is very keen on gaining knowledge and gives her best in every field. Let us know more about her in this interview.

Q1) Since when did you start having interest in writing? Tell us something about your writing journey.

Ans: when I was a kid, I used to encourage my friends / relatives. I really liked when they got courage after listening to my words and by this, I started my writing journey in late 2018. I continued to write until I decided to publish my own book which is non-fiction [motivational]. I was inspired when I was declared the winner of a writing competition “Ebook vs Book”

Q2) How did the idea of “Realization makes improvement” come to your mind. Tell us more about the plot of the book. Also share the link of the book.

Ans:  The idea of this title came into my mind when I was writing my book, the idea came while writing the book .At first I chose the different title but this book is based on how realization in us makes improvement. In this book, the plot is ‘how should we overcome our fears to be at clears’, it also talks about ‘how to strive to thrive to get the shine into mine’ as an individual person. I have also used many poetic devices in this book as I am poetess too. These are the links:

Q3) Tell us something about your hobbies. Have you mastered the art of managing your hobbies and your passion by now or you are still finding ways to do it?

Ans: Apart from my writing, my hobbies are to gain knowledge of new things even if it is just a single word as it makes me happy by doing it. Maybe in future I will discover more of my hobbies but now it is only my writing and getting knowledge of things in which I show interest. Yes, I have managed it quite well because as the time goes we start to manage many things even if at first we thought we could never manage it. It is just how our managing capabilities develop with age.

Q4) From preparing the draft of the book, to selecting the cover page to publishing it, it is a process that requires total scrutiny and involvement. Tell us about your experience and were there any hardships that you faced in the process?

Ans: I completed the first page of my book in March 2022 and completed the whole book in January 2022 and it got published on March 2023 so it took 1 year for the whole process. It was very challenging thing to do because I had to balance my studies too but as I said managing capabilities develop with age

Q5) There is a large section of the youth who thinks of writing their solo book but lack the courage to do so. What is your advice to them?

Ans: Since I am a newbie too in publishing but my advice to them is to not think so much of the future but the process because as we get immersed in our own thoughts, we get confused on the thought of publishing our own book. We think whether we should publish it or not and by thinking this we waste our time and also get upset instead of working on it , we should not think if many  will like it or not we should publish it because it is our dream to be labeled as an author. If your book is for social change or regarding anything which could make a reader smile or give them courage to chase their goals then your book is worth-publishing.

Q6] What do you think on giving up your dream if there is no any good result?

Ans: The bigger the goals, the more time it will take for accomplishing it but if you don’t even see a little change then give up but before giving up have another dream to accomplish as it should be balanced.

Q7] What does the book cover denotes?

Ans: The reason why I chose the color grey  and sunrays as a book cover because here, grey color depicts the distress which we all go through in daily life and the sunrays depicts the encouragement we get by nurturing and maturing.
