Odisha reported Covid-19 4,237 new with the single-day exposure with the cumulative case to 1 92,548. The death toll has now reached 736, with 15 more patients succumbed to death due to Coronavirus within the last 24 hours. The recovery rate stands at 79.57 per cent in the state, while the cure rate has improved to 81.25 per cent in the country. Around 45,321 samples were tested which includes 8599 RT-PCR, 36607 samples via Antigen testing and 115 samples via Truenat testing.
Of the new cases reported from across 30 districts, 2,485 were detected from various quarantine centres, while 1,752 are local contact cases. Around 1, 53,213 people have recovered from COVID-19 while 38,546 are active cases.
Four deaths each reported from Bhubaneswar , two patients succumbed to the disease in Puri and one each in Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Malkangiri, Mayurbhanj, Nayagarh and Nuapada district.
According to the Health and Family Welfare department Khordha district reported 647 positive cases followed by Cuttack -577, Puri -219, Jharsuguda -205, Jajpur -201, Jagatsingpur -173, and Balasore -161 cases.
