Odisha reported 2,3673 new with the single-day exposure with the cumulative case to 2,38,003. The death toll has now reached 940, with 16 more patients succumbed to death due to Coronavirus within the last 24 hours.
Of the new cases reported from across 30 districts, 1,554 were detected from various quarantine centres, while 1,119 are local contact cases.
Around 2, 06,400 people have recovered from COVID-19 while 30,610 are active cases.
According to the Health and Family Welfare department Khordha district reported 448 positive cases followed by Cuttack -214, Kendrapada- 151 and Nuapada- 159.
Out of 16 people who succumbed to death, four deaths were reported from Balasore district, three from Khordha and two deaths from Cuttack. One death were reported each from Anugul, Nayagarh, Nabarangapur, Mayurbhanj, Puri, Boudh and Subarnapur.
Official reports reveal 41840 samples were tested on Friday for COVID-19 that include 6185 RT-PCR, 35550 samples via Antigen testing, and 105 samples via Truenat testing, taking the number of samples tested cumulatively across the state to 3524242.
