Covid-19 Pandemic fades Indipur Gajalaxmi Puja celebration

Dhenkanal: The festive season is on and now the Puja of the goddess of wealth, Goddess Gajalaxmi is going on. Similarly, the village of Indipur, just 10 km from Dhenkanal district headquarters, has garnered a special place for the celebration of Gajalaxmi Puja there, but since last year the celebrations are muted and not grand as they used to be due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. Since last year due to the Covid-19 pandemic the celebrations have faded here, every year the puja is celebrated for nine days here with great enthusiasm and in a grand way.WhatsApp Image 2021-10-20 at 11.23.21 PMBut this year there is no such charm and the puja is being done following all the Covid-19 guidelines. This year the puja will be celebrated for five days and the visarjan is scheduled for 24th October. The height of the idols is restricted to 4ft, with full compliance to the guidelines the puja is done this year.
