A deep freezer arrangement has been started at the Swargadwara crematorium, Puri. Now, a dead body can be preserved for a long time, in case there is any delay in the cremation of the body.
According to the reports, the facility can be available at the Swargadwara. The relatives of the deceased can keep the body in the Deep freezer for 24 hours after paying a fee of Rs. 1,000. Besides, a few other facilities have also been made for people who are coming here for the cremation of the bodies of their family members.
The facility was started today at Swargadwara. Additional Collector Pradeep Kumar Sahu, Sub Collector Bhabatarana Sahu, DRDA Project Director Jyotishankar Mohapatra, Executive Officer of Municipality Saroj Kumar Swain, Swargadwara Sanskara Seva, and office bearers of the Swargadwara Kendra were present on this occasion.
