n a tragic road accident early Tuesday morning in Dehradun, six people, including three women, lost their lives, and one person sustained critical injuries. The incident occurred around 1:30 am near ONGC Chowk when a speeding Innova car crashed into the rear of a stationary container truck, leaving the car severely damaged, according to the police.
Despite the gravity of the accident, the families of the victims have not yet filed a formal complaint, which has led the police to seek expert advice on the appropriate legal course of action. Initial investigations indicate that the truck driver may not be at fault.
“We have not received any complaint from the families of the victims that would necessitate registering a case,” a police official was quoted as saying. Authorities are waiting for guidance on whether legal steps should be taken in the absence of formal complaints.
