Dhenkanal famous Gajalaxmi Puja is going to start from tomorrow, on 28 October, Saturday and the preparations are in full swing here. Goddess Gajalaxmi will be worshipped in around 38 pandals here. Artisans are working tirelessly round the clock and putting their efforts to beautifully decorate the pandals. Gajalaxmi puja of Dhenkanal is quite famous.
Rupali Sahoo, a native of Dhenkanal town said, ” Our Dhenkanal Gajalaxmi Puja is very famous and we enjoy a lot during this 11 days long puja. We used to have lots of fun during the puja days, tomorrow at first I will visit different pandals and have the darshan of Goddess Gajalaxmi ”
This year Ganesh Bazaar Puja Committee will be celebrating its platinum Jublee and the arrangements are grand here.
Secretary of Ganesh Bazaar puja committee Biswanath Behera said, ” This year our bazaar is going to celebrate its 75th year Platinum Jubilee and the preparations for the same are almost complete. Special arrangements have been made for the Platinum Jubilee celebrations.”
Gajalaxmi puja will be celebrated here for 11 days and the visarjan is scheduled on 8 November.
