Dhenkanal : Different Puja Committees went to Brahmani River bank on Wednesday to fetch the clay for the upcoming celebrated laxmi puja of Dhenkanal.

On the occasion of “Sunia” different Puja committees of the town went to the banks of river Brahmani with processions where the puja was performed after which the clay was brought which will be used in the idol making of Goddess Laxmi for the upcoming laxmi puja of the Town.

Laxmi puja in Dhenkanal is celebrated in a grand manner with great pump and grandeur which attracts tens of thousands people every year to visit it. In Dhenkanal Goddess Laxmi is Worshiped in almost 38 Pandals for 11 days starting from Kumar Purnima. This year the puja will start from 9 October.
