The Multiplex Association of India and theatres all throughout India have chosen to observe October 13 as National Cinema Day, which is fantastic news for moviegoers. Cinephiles can rejoice in this happy day by visiting their favourite theatre and watching their favourite film for just Rs 99. However, this discount will not be valid for recliners or expensive formats like IMAX and 4DX.More than 4000 screens will participate in the celebration of National Cinema Day this year, including cinema chains like PVR Inox, Cinepolis, Miraj, Citypride, Asian, Mukta A2, Movie Time, WAVE, M2K, Delite, and others.

Chup: Revenge of the Artist reportedly made between Rs. 2.75 to 3 crore on its first day, which could have been its opening weekend if it weren’t for National Cinema Day, according to trade website Box Office India. After SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, Brahmastra: Part One- Shiva achieved the second-highest third Friday gross ever for a Hindi language movie with Rs. 8.50 crore.

The Multiplex Association of India is a group of theatre owners that represents the interests of the motion picture exhibition industry and collaborates with government agencies and business associates to identify opportunities and address difficulties.
