In Rajasthan’s Barmer, a bus crash with a parked dumper claimed the lives of a principal and a student.In a village in Rajasthan’s Barmer, a bus carrying the principal of a public school and a student was murdered after it crashed with a dumped truck that was parked there. On their way home after a sporting event in Raniwara, the bus carrying students and staff from Swami Vivekananda Government Model School in Detani crashed with a parked dumper.Mohammad Ibrahim, the deceased school’s principal, and Savina, the female student, have been named. While the principal of the school passed away immediately, the student eventually died from her wounds while receiving medical attention.
Around 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, while several students and members of the school staff were travelling back from a successful tournament held in Raniwara, the incident happened close to Sehlau village. 24 female students and four staff members, including the principal of the institution, were among the passengers, according to the authorities.The Model School Detani staff and female students travelled to Raniwara to take part in a sporting event, according to Anjum Tahir Samma, Additional District Collector of Barmer. The bus collided with a dumper as it was returning with them.
“Students whose condition is critical have been referred to Jodhpur for treatment,” said ADM Anjum Tahir Samma.According to officials, the bus driver struck a dumper truck that was parked on the side of Bharat Mala Road close to Sehlau village because he was unable to see it, according to ANI.They added that it was unclear what exactly caused the mishap.A police squad also showed up at the scene after receiving information, and with the help of the locals, they moved the accident victims to the Community Health Centre (CHC) in Gagariya. The seriously injured were sent from CHC Gagariya to Barmer for additional medical attention.
