The first test of the two test match test series of India Vs Sri Lanka in India started from today. While it’s just a regular test series carrying Word Test Championship points, it was a very special occasion for Team India, Indian cricket fans, and of course Virat Kohli.
Virat Kohli played his 100th test match today. He was given a warm felicitation by the team and coach Rahul Dravid. His wife Anushka Sharma was also present during the felicitation.
However, the milestone became more significant when Virat Kohli came out to bat. Even though Virat couldn’t score a 50 nor a 100, he got passed 8000 test runs today with his knock of 45. He became the 6th Indian batsman to score more than 8000 runs in Test cricket.
