People need to exercise caution. The BJP is using the UCC to polarise the voters and try to win the next polls because it has failed at effective administration, a senior Congress leader claimed.Prime Minister Narendra Modi responded to a BJP employee’s query by posing the question: “Why did Muslim-majority countries abolish triple talaq if it is an integral part of Islam?” After talking about triple talaq, PM Modi moved on to the topic of a uniform civil code and questioned how a nation could operate under two sets of regulations if a family could not. According to PM Modi, people who oppose the UCC are engaging in vote-bank politics while Muslims are being incited over the matter.
