Fears that a Mumbai kid may die at Pavana dam

Authorities claim that the gang travelled to Lonavla over the weekend and had a private property reserved.On a Sunday afternoon outing in Lonavla with pals, an 18-year-old boy from the Lower Parel neighbourhood of Mumbai drowned in the Pavana dam reservoir, according to police officials from Lonavla.The young man was recognised as Sahil Sawant (18) by the rural police of Lonavla. The kid, who just finished his Class XII examinations, came on Friday for a picnic with a group of 18 pals.

Together with Vanya Jiv Rakshak Sanstha and Shiv Durga Mitra Mandal Lonavla, the search was started.
However, efforts to seek Sawant continued through Sunday night with the aid of neighbourhood organisations.According to police sources, the search operation is challenging because the water stock in the dam is between 50 and 100 feet deep.
