With a net worth of $115.5 billion, Adani Group CEO Gautam Adani has surpassed Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates to take over the fourth spot on Forbes’ Real-Time Billionaires List. According to Forbes statistics, Adani’s wealth increased by $2.9 billion as a result of the rapid rise in the value of the shares of the Adani Group, and Gates said last week that he would be donating $20 billion of his wealth to his non-profit organisation, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.Bill Gates is now the fifth-richest person in the world, with an estimated net worth of $102 billion, after the contribution.Adani fell only $7 billion short of Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, who at the time held the fourth-richest position in the world with a fortune of $130.2 billion, until he rose to the fifth-richest position in April with a net worth of about $123 billion. According to statistics from the Bloomberg Billionaires’ Index, Gautam Adani has earned $21.1 billion so far this year (YTD), whereas Elon Musk’s net worth increased by $1.1 billion in the fourth quarter of last year, when he was the 11th richest person on the planet.
