General Bipin Rawat, Chief Of Defence Staff (CDS), praised Odisha police for maintaining the high standards of law and order in Odisha. The Odisha police’s work towards law and order in incredible and the whole force is doing is remarkable in Odisha.
During the 62nd Senior Police Officer’s Conference which was held through virtual mode, General Bipin Rawat talked about the maintained of law and order by the Odisha police. Even the state police were succeeded in tackling the difficulties of Left-Wing Extremism (LWE) with proper coordination with all other Central Armed Police Forces operating the area. He even applauded the Odisha police for working hard to bring down the crime rate.

General Rawat also talked about the changing geo-strategic environment of India. He said that the fallout of activities like climate change, de-globalisation, regionalisation, popular protests, trade wars, and other developments had increased the risks of destabilisation and disturbances while the asymmetric hostilities have brought in more numerous challenges. With these conditions, the role of police in ensuring internal stability is very significant. The police should able to withstand the worsening condition of the environment and should bring stability among the people.
He further said that he hoped that the Odisha Police would continue to work as the pillar of strength, security and confidence for the people of Odisha. The 62nd conference will help the police force to take care of the future as guardians of internal security and even to face any challenges that come across.
