A body of a girl student has been found hanging from a leading law college in Cuttack late on Monday night. The deceased was a second-year student and was a resident of Haryana.
As per the reports, the student was found hanging inside her hostel room under mysterious circumstances. Later, CDA Phase-II arrived at the spot and recovered her body. She was rushed to S.C.B. Medical College and Hospital where the doctors declared her brought dead.
Thereafter, the body has been sent for an autopsy procedure. The cause behind her alleged suicide has not yet been ascertained. The cops have initiated an investigation into the matter.
Notably, the registrar and professor of the leading law college informed the students that the classes have been suspended today via e-mail. “Due to the sudden and unfortunate demise of one of our beloved students, the classes shall be suspended today i.e. 05 April 2022,” read the official mail.
