During the immersion of the Durga idol, a fight between two groups broke out, and this evening in the Badambadi region of Cuttack, both parties threw stones at one another. Members of Cuttack’s Kusunpur and Bhagabatpur got into a fight.
According to the accounts, both groups got into a fight during the idol procession, and the situation quickly became hot. There was a fight between the two factions. Additionally, both parties began throwing stones at one another. The Commissionerate police quickly sprung into action and took charge of the circumstance. According to Cuttack Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Pinak Mishra, one platoon of police officers has been sent to the area and the situation is under control.
It should be mentioned that on September 18, in a similar occurrence involving a group fight in the Odisha district of Bhadrak, five out of the 10 injured victims suffered serious injuries. The event happened in the district’s Chandbali Police jurisdiction, in the Ramapalli village. Later, when the police arrived, they dispersed the fighting parties.
