In Haryana, three independent MLAs renounced their support for the BJP government and swore loyalty to the opposition Congress party. At least three independent MLAs switched their allegiance from the BJP government to the opposition Congress party on Tuesday, causing a serious political crisis in Haryana. At a press conference in Rohtak, Sombir Singh Sangwan from Dadri, Dharampal Gonder from Nilokheri, and Randhir Golan from Pundri declared their decision. Rakesh Daultabad from Badshahpur was allegedly supposed to accompany them as well, but he was unable to get to the location in time, according to Sangwan.
Dharam Pal Gondher, speaking to the media, conveyed his dissatisfaction with the way the BJP government had handled a number of issues. “We were repeatedly called upon when they required our assistance to create the government…We had agreed to support Manoharlal Khattar as long as he remained in office. We regret that he is no longer in charge. We are cutting off government funding in the best interests of the farmers,” he declared.
Golan had similar views, stating that the decision to withdraw support was mostly influenced by the increasing rates of unemployment and inflation that occurred in Haryana during the BJP’s rule. “We have offered the BJP our support for the past 4.5 years. Both inflation and unemployment are at an all-time high right now. Given this, we have decided not to continue supporting.”It has been claimed that the Independent MLAs were not happy about not being included in the Saini government.
