Heat Wave Expected To Return By March 29 In Odisha

Odisha’s temperatures will gradually rise over the following five days, according to the Regional Meteorological Centre, and the heat wave should return by March 29. Although the temperature is now 2 to 3 degrees below average, it is expected to increase and surpass 40 degrees in certain places.

On March 29, the districts of Sambalpur, Subarnapur, Balangir, and Kalahandi were placed under a heat wave alert. The meteorological service has issued a warning that the temperature will rise once again and that the following seven days will be extremely dry.

Some areas of coastal Odisha have seen mild to moderate rain during the past 24 hours, according to Manorma Mohanty, director of the Bhubaneswar Regional Meteorological Center. Nine locations in the state experienced temperatures above 35 degrees, with Malkangiri recording the highest temperature at 36.8 degrees.
