Dhenkanal – The Indian Institute of Mass Communication, Dhenkanal organized the closing ceremony of the Hindi Pakhwada Celebrations on Thursday. The event was held at the conference Hall of IIMC, Dhenkanal. Shri Somesh Kumar Upadhyay attended as the Chief Guest.
Several winners from various competition held during the Hindi Pakhwada Celebration were awarded by the District Magistrate and Collector Shri Somesh Kumar Upadhyay, who presented the winners with certificates and cash rewards of RS 2500 for the first position, RS 2000 for the second position, RS 1500 for thrid position and RS 1000 for consolation prizes for each competition held.
In the radio jingle competition, Dibakar Kumar stood first, while Shivangi Gupta came second and Sonal Roy stood third. Similarly, Dibalin Behera, Harish Raj and Shakti Gauhade have received consolation prizes.
Sujal Sharma secured first position, Dibakar Kumar second and Chahat Kumari came third in Hindi poetry competition. Consolation prizes have been awarded to Pachu Bharti, Shiv Prasad Mohanty and Jyot Ranjan Mishra.
In the Hindi Essay Writing Competition, Shivangi Gupta won first place, Dibakar Kumar second, Harish Raj and Vidhy Punyani secured third place, while Aditya Majia Mahapatra and Om Shubham Mallick were given consolation prizes.
Regional Director of IIMC, Dhenkanal Prof. Dr. Anand Pradhan delivered the introductory address while Assistant Professor Dr. Biranchi Narayan Seth Coordinated the event. Assistant Professor Dr. Chirasrota Jena delivered the vote of thanks. The event was attended by students, faculty and staffs. The Hindi Pakhwada celebration in the campus concluded today with a cultural program in the afternoon.
