With over two decades of dedication, she has become a guiding light, proving that education is not just about acquiring knowledge but about instilling confidence, self-reliance, and the courage to dream big.
Born with an innate desire to make a difference, Jasaswini’s journey began in 2003 with a modest PMRY loan of ₹85,000 from SBI. Armed with little more than determination, she founded Nalanda Public School in her village, facing immense financial and societal challenges. Yet, with an unyielding spirit, she overcame the odds, turning her vision into reality. Today, her dream has expanded into the Nalanda Group of Institutions, with a second school in CDA, Cuttack, offering urban students access to advanced curricula and technology-driven education.
Her motivation was deeply personal: “I saw the difference in confidence between an Odisha medium student and an English medium student. Their knowledge might be the same, but the English medium student often holds the confidence to express freely.” This realization fueled her determination to establish an English medium school in her village—a dream that has since become a beacon of hope for thousands of students.
Jasaswini’s philosophy extends beyond academic excellence; she emphasizes holistic development by integrating skill-based learning, digital literacy, and career counseling into her institutions. Her approach ensures that students are not just educated but are also equipped to navigate an increasingly complex and competitive world. Her efforts have yielded remarkable results, with many of her students excelling in national-level exams such as JEE and NEET.
Beyond traditional academics, Jasaswini is a staunch advocate for vocational training, ensuring that education translates into employability. She believes that true empowerment lies in self-sufficiency, and her initiatives reflect this ethos.

Jasaswini’s advice to young dreamers is as inspiring as her journey: “Never give up on your dreams. There will be obstacles at every step, but you must fight for them. One significant thing you need is to be honest with yourself. The world comes later—be honest with your soul.”
She attributes her success to the philosophy of the ‘3 Cs’—Calm, Cool, and Composed. “You can’t reach your destination with a hothead. Stay calm and stick to your dream. Lord Jagannath will show the path.”
Her mentorship programs focus on fostering resilience and confidence in students, helping them set clear goals and remain steadfast in their pursuit of success. She emphasizes that true education is not just about academic achievements but about nurturing a mindset of perseverance and integrity.
