IMD forecasts a resumption of the cold wave

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Thursday forecasted new spells of dense to extremely dense fog and isolated cold wave conditions over northwest India beginning on January 15, 2023, despite the fact that there won’t be a significant shift in the weather. After three days, East India’s minimum temperature is forecast to drop by 2 to 3 degrees, according to the IMD. Similar to how low temperatures would gradually decrease by 3-6 degrees over Gujarat by January 15 with no further noteworthy adjustments.

While cold wave conditions are anticipated in isolated pockets over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh on January 15, 16, and 17, over interior Karnataka on January 13 and 14, and over Madhya Pradesh on January 16 and 17, cold wave to severe cold wave conditions are likely over some parts of North Rajasthan.
