Sandeep Yadav, a corporate lawyer by profession and destiny turned writer who recently published his book ” What More Can I Wish For !” with ‘ The Write Order Publications.’ Below are the answers he responded to Interview Times Questionnaire :-
Q1- Tell us about your experience of writing your first book?
Answer: Well, everyone says writing a novel, especially the first one is tough, but for me it was more of an adventure. I am not gonna say it always went according to plan and I loved the process daily. Like all authors I grew impatient and frustrated, I faced authors block, but slowly I overcame all that and I reminded myself, why I am doing this in first place and Once I felt that the words themselves started to appear in my thoughts and the more, I wrote more I found myself falling in love with the story, the characters and with my dream to be an author.
Q2- How did you manage time for writing?
Answer: I was planning to write from some time but due to my job I always found some excuses to say no to writing but one day I just woke up and that day rather than excuses I found reasons to write and said yes to my dream. I worked on my novel in early mornings, late nights and on weekends and it took me almost 11 months to complete the first draft.
Q3- How did you came up with the idea of writing a book and was the preparations you did for the same?
Answer: My sister introduced me to the world of novels and as I started reading, I didn’t just develop a habit of reading I started to imagine stories, I started to think like an author. In short, a dream of becoming a writer and to share my thoughts with the world born in me. The story in my novel, “What more can I wish for!” is not purely fiction, I lived most of it in my college days and rest I wanted to live but now I did via my book.
Q4- Would you please like to share something about your latest book?
Answer: My second book is under construction and it might get publish in mid of 2022. This time I am writing a mystery, not a murder mystery but something unique.
Q5- Would to please like to share any of your memories related to writing your first book?
Answer: I was writing a scene in which a girl has to tell her parents about her love life and wanted to share the real thoughts of a girl when she is in such situation. You know, what she thinks? How hard it is? And all these questions were just popping in my head and no answers at all. So instead of making something on my own what I did was I called a few girl friends of mine and asked them and their comments on this situation were hilarious. One of them asked me how she can tell her parents about her love life. That day I learned one thing that for girls dropping a boyfriend bomb on their parents head is no easy task.
Q6- What are your future goals?
Answer: Now I have understood one golden rule of life and anyone who will follow that will be happy for the rest of their lives and its very simple, “If something gives you happiness its worth doing everyday” Writing gives me happiness and this feeling that my thoughts are on pages and someone is reading them and smiling this feeling brings me peace. These are my future goals, doing what I love and keep doing that and bringing positivity in this world with my writing.
