Interview Times had a great time in conversing with the MD of Prakash Transport Corporation, one of the most popular logistic companies of Odisha, Mr Sujeet Arya.

Can you brief about yourself to our readers?
Hello everyone, my name is Sujeet Arya. I was born and raised in Cuttack. I completed my schooling from very prestigious Stewart School, Cuttack in the year 1987 and later pursued my Bcom from Ravenshaw College, Cuttack in the year 1992.
Did you wanted to become entrepreneur from childhood or it was influenced by someone in your life later?
At a very young age of 18, I had more inclination towards business and started getting myself involved in business, with my father’s guidance. Therefofe, even not childhood, but itwas from my teenage days that I became inclined towards starting my own venture.
Who has been your biggest inspiration in your life?
Undoubtedly, my father has been the biggest inspiration of my life. He had a very sharp mind in business and his courage to fight back during hard times has always been an example for me. I always say ‘if i get even 10% of the courage which my father had, it will be enough for me.’
How did the idea of Prakash Transport Corporation started?
It was certainly not my idea. This company was created by my beloved father. Our company ‘prakash transport corporation’ was started in the year 1969 by my father late Sri K. K. Arya Ji. I am just following his footsteps to make the organization more successful.
How has been your journey with your organization so far?
Business is always not easy, and there are many ups and downs and challenges, which I have faced throughout my professional career. However, these challenges becomes a management institute for you, only if you learn from the mistakes. I believe that the biggest management institute in the world are your own life lessons which you learn from your mistakes.
Any future plans for your organizations?
Currently we are having around 55 branches pan India. We are aggressively working towards putting up more branches in PAN India level. We are also planning for a logistics park near Cuttack in the future.
