Food enthusiast and food blogger Abhipsa Saran, a home chef and food blogger from odisha has garnered appreaciation for her food blogging. Recently she had her Odia and Bengali food festival at Novotel OMR, Chennai. The name of the festival was was Cuttack to Kolkata. She also does a Lot of Facebook live shows. She always tried to go with Odia cuisine on live shows. Now she is trying to know more about Food in Lord Jagannath temple and also about the Royal cuisine of Odisha. Interview Times had a detailed conversation with her, below are the excerpts,

Q1- What inspired you to become a food blogger?
Answer: My friends inspired me to start blogging after I eat my dishes and seeing the pictures of my dishes, they have always asked me to share the recipes, so I eventually I started blogging.
Q2- What are your favorite dishes, and why?
Answer: All traditional dishes are my favorite. Particularly Odia food. I love them as I grew up eating them. Also, healthy food is my favorite. I don,’t like and understand fusion food.

Q3- Apart from food blogging, what are your other interests?
Answer: I love to eat a lot. I am a big time foodie. Also, I love reading. I love to read books from various subject. Cookery book is also a part of that list.
Q4- Can you please share some memories from your odia and Bengali food festival?
Answer: There are many beautiful memories. When a person came to me and told that Macharo Besara was awesome. Again another couple came to me and told me that the Fish Curry is quite delicious. And, when a famous food blogger came and appreciated my dishes. All these comments boosted my confidence.
Q5- What are your future plans regards food blogging?
Answer: I want to discover more about Chhapan Bhog of Lord Jagannath, Puri and also want to discover the Royal cuisines of Odisha. Also, I want to discover the lost recipes of Odisha. All this fascinates me.

Q6- You are also trying to know more about royal cuisines of odisha, what inspired you to choose this and why?
Answer: While reading books I have come across some books which mentioned about the Royal cuisine all over India. But Dishes from Odia Royal families were absent. That motivated me to do my research in that light and I want people should know the culture of Odisha.
Q7- What difficulties did you faced during your initial days of food blogging?
Answer: Not many though. As I prepare only traditional food, it took time people to know me.
If you cook fusion food you invent it. But in traditional cooking recipe is the hero. There I have to struggle to get an authentic recipe of a traditional dish.

Q8- Would you like to give any messages to our readers who want to become like you?
Answer: No message actually. But a request, don,’t run for fusion foods. Whatever you cook go for the authentic one. Go for the traditional one. Be it baking or cooking or whatever just chooses the traditional things. This will help you to grow.
