Nandan Nilekani Chief Architect of Aadhaar and co-founder of Infosys informed that India would soon witness a surplus in vaccine production within the next six months.
The vaccination drive for Coronavirus has already begun in India where front workers and Doctors are taking the first dose of the vaccine, and the second phase will be started soon. Serum Institute of India (SII) and Bharat Biotech are manufacturing COVID-19 vaccines.
Nandan Nilekani stated that the vaccination process could be further raised with the cooperation of the Covid Vaccine Intelligence Network (Cowin) platform and with the private partnership. He further stated that India is a role model in giving vaccination at a scale with agility and is also one of the first countries to create and digitise a vaccination certification process. This will also help the Indian population in balance considerably.
The Co-founder of Infosys also added that the vaccination process should be registered and the central government is working great to create digital certificates after vaccination and equipping them with QR.
This digitalised certification process can help the Indian populace carry these certificates on their smartphone or DigiLockers, and the QR quickly scanned in transit points like airports.
When the ample vaccination is available in both the private and public government sectors, the immunisation can be scaled up considerably in the future.
