With the Neighbourhood First policy Indian lends hands to Myanmar, Mauritius, Morocco and Seychelles by sending Indian made COVISHIELD vaccine.
As per the reports Myanmar, Mauritius, Morocco and Seychelles received COVISHIELD vaccine on Friday and in the coming weeks, and months India will continue to supply more COVID-19 vaccine to partner countries in a phased manner.

The report further informed that Myanmar received around 1.5 million doses of COVID 19 vaccine as a gift from India.
Anurag Srivastava, External Affairs Ministry Spokesman while addressing the media in New Delhi stated that the domestic manufacturers have sufficient stocks to adhere to domestic requirements while supplying abroad. Many countries have evinced interest in accessing vaccines from India, which is the global hub for vaccine production.
He further stated that the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi already informed that the production and delivery capacity of Indian Covid vaccine which COVISHIELD benefit of all humanity in fighting this crisis altogether.

Dr S. Jaishankar, External Affairs Minister in the official Twitter account, stated that the vaccines have arrived in Myanmar to contribute to its effort at inoculating its population.
Saurabh Kumar, India’s ambassador to Myanmar called on the Union Minister for Health & Sports in Nay Pyi Taw to discuss cooperation on COVID19 vaccine and other mutual concern issues.
